What Do HD Radios Cost?
Because HD radio is a relatively new technology, the cost of HD radios is a bit on the high side. For example, the Radiosophy Web site lists its MultiStream radio for 9. This compact, tabletop radio has a 4" x 8" , removable receiver (it can be removed from its speakers) that can be easily taken from room to room. It also has a large, easy-to-read LCD monitor that can be read from across the room. Radiosophy also says the MultiStream HD radio receives everything - analog AM and FM, HD AM and FM and sub channels.
The suggested retail price of Boston Acoustics' Recepter radio HD is 9 but there is a rebate offer at this time, bringing the price to a more reasonable 9.. You can get more information on Boston Acoustics HD Radio prices and availability, by visiting the Boston Acoustics Web site.
Cambridge Soundworks recently announced its Radio 820HD, also with a price of 9.99 and, again a rebate.
On an even higher-end, there is the Polk Audio I-Sonic HD Entertainments System at 9 before a rebate.
Two lower-cost units are now available. They are the Accurian HD Radio from RadioShack (9 before a rebate) and the Sangeon HDR-1 for 1.95 which is available through amazon.com.
HD radio for car owners
Car owners who would like to get into HD Technology radio have a broader range of HD radio prices from which to choose.
As examples of HD radio prices for car decks, Best Buy has the Kenwood EZ500 for 9.99, the KDC-MP228 for 9.99 and the KDC-MP528 for 9.99. All three of these decks are multi-functional with MP3 playback as well as HD reception.
Another example of HD Radio prices is Circuit City with the Panasonic CO-C9701U In-Dash CD Player at 5.99. Plus, Crutchfield.com has the Kenwood KTC-HR100MC HD-compatible tuner for 9.99 and the Eclipse HDR-105 tuner for 9.99.
HD tuners for component systems
The only four companies currently offering HD tuners for use in component systems are Sangeon, Audio Design Associates, Yamaha and Day-Sequerra.
Sangeon's HDT-1 HD Radio component tuner has a suggested retail price of 9, but is currently available on a pre-order basis.
The ADA Quadri-tune receiver is expected to release during the fourth quarter of this year and, of this writing, the company has not announced a price. Day-Sequerra has announced its M2 and M4 receivers will start at 95.
Yamaha's high-end RX-V600 Home Theater Receiver with HD Radio currently sells for ,899.
Day-Seguerra is yet to announce details and pricing of its HD component tuners.
But as you can see, the good news is there are now more choices in HD Radio ... and more to come in the near future.

Bose Surround Sound System: A Review of the Bose CineMate Series II Speaker System
Many people are looking for a great home sound system that has the most excellent music-making abilities. Many of these people are looking for a Bose surround sound system because the brand is known for its excellent equipment. If you're looking for the same thing, then the Bose CineMate Series II Speaker System is one of the bets models that you can get. This review will cover everything you need to know about this product.
General Description
This set is composed of five items which are essential for music-making. The package of this product includes an Acoustimass module, an interface module, two Articulated Array speakers, and a four-button remote control. These devices all make up a great Bose surround sound system that creates the best quality music you can get from a personal home entertainment system. Each Articulated Array speaker has the dimensions 3.3" x 7.8" x 5.1" and weighs 2.6 pounds. The main Acoustimass module measures 14.5" x 8.8" x 19.1" and weighs 23.3 pounds. The interface module has the dimensions 1.1" x 3.3" x 2.2" and it weighs a little less than a pound. The system is designed to be fixed - the Acoustimass module on the floor or on a shelf, and the two speakers mounted on the walls. It's perfect if you have an HDTV or a home theater system because you can produce excellent audio together with your video devices.
All the items in the system are black and they have a nice and sleek finish which makes them excellent in any room and blend with any home décor. The color also hides age, especially if it's well maintained, so you can easily keep your surround sound system looking good despite age and weathering.
Audio
The device is composed of different parts but they all complete a single system which is designed specifically to work as one, so you can't remove one of the parts and isolate it from the rest of the set. The two Articulated Array speakers serve as the main speakers that serve as the major sound source. On the other hand, the Acoustimass module serves as the low-frequency player that makes bass and percussion come out in an excellent manner. The remote control helps you navigate and operate the device more comfortably so you won't have to stand up or come near the set to fix it. However, there are no buttons on the devices, and the remote control is the only possible way for you to navigate the device. So don't lose that remote, and definitely don't break it.
The Proprietary TrueSpace digital processing circuitry, which is a trademark feature of Bose, is designed to deliver a spacious, multichannel sound experience with strong center amplification from just two visible speakers and an Acoustimass module. The Acoustimass module works together with the small speakers to deliver a complete and detailed range of theater sounds and effects. The patented Bose design of the system produces low frequencies for all channels with no audible distortion, minimizing the statics from playing music. The compact Articulated Array speakers provide thrilling home theater sound without the need for rear or center channel speakers, as seen in most surround sound system with lower quality.
Other Features
This system makes use of a 4-button remote control which enables you to manipulate the device at a fair distance. The interface module has two LED indicators and connectors for audio input, and it receives infrared commands from the remote for the speaker system. It also connects directly to your TV while showing the status of your speaker system. The easy setup of this system makes it a lot more preferable than many other surround sound systems which need a lot of installation and connection all over the house.
Conclusion
I can only say that as compared to other surround sound systems, a Bose surround sound system really has an advantage. And this is exactly what the Bose CineMate Series II Speaker System can give you if you choose to buy it. I recommend this product to all the individuals out there who want to make their homes a perfect pad to live in, with the best sound system to boot.
